Venture - Spacecraft on the sci-fi series PLANET OF THE APES/CBS/1974. The Venture was a triangular NASA spaceship which accidentally traveled through time to a post-nuclear holocaust future where apes had become Earth's rulers and man was relegated to a slave class. Crew members included astronauts Alan Virdon (Ron Harper) and Pete Burke (James Naughton). The series was based on the novel Planet of the Apes written by Pierre Boulle.
