Special
Unit 2 - Secret Division of the Chicago Police
Department on the occult adventure SPECIAL UNIT 2/UPN/2001. The
SU2 tracks downs and controls infestations of Links (malicious
paranormal species that evolved from the missing link between
man and beast - for example, ogres, dragons. trolls, gargoyles,
werewolves, etc). The SU2 operation is headquartered in a
abandoned subway station. To enter the facility, the SU2 agents
travel via a secret elevator behind a rack of clothes at the
back of the Golden Eagle dry cleaners located near the city's
center. Agents on duty included Detective Nick O'Malley (Michael Landes), a maverick officer who despite his slip -ups always
gets the job done; Detective Kate Benson (Alexondra Lee), a
brainy newcomer to the force who has been intuitively sensitive
to Links since childhood; Carl the Gnome (Danny Woodburn), a
diminutive con-artist and petty thief who was recruited by SU2
as an informant to help track down Links; and Captain Richard
Page (Richard Gant), a veteran no-nonsense cop with a prosthetic
hand who leads the SU2 Squad. Agent Sean Radmon (Sean Whalen), a
college professor and biologist, is the team's technical advisor
on the Links. He suggests the best methods for their eradication
or control. The agent's main weapon is a gun about two-feet long
that shots color-coded ammo: different rounds designed to work
on different Links.
