St. Eligius - A white statue of St. Eligius with arms outstretched stood prominently in the lobby of St. Eligius' Hospital (a.k.a. "St Elsewhere") on the medical drama ST. ELSEWHERE/NBC/1982-88. St. Eligius was the patron saint of artists and craftsman. The statue of St. Eligius fell off its pedestal and broke on the 9/23/87 episode.  See also  HOSPITALS: "St. Eligius"
