The misadventures of a
bumbling Texas Ranger known as Rango (Tim
Conway) stationed at Deep Wells Ranger Station
in the Texas Territory of the 1870s.
Rango's father was the commander of the Texas
Rangers, and so his son he had job security.
However, to keep the
other rangers safe from his ineptness, Rango was
assigned to a remote outpost where hopefully he
wouldn't get into trouble or cause any harm.
Unfortunately, just as Rango arrived, bandits and outlaws
began to return to the area and the only thing
between the people of the region and the bad guys was,
dare I say it?....Rango.

Rango's friends and companions included:
- Guy Marks as Pink Cloud, Rango's
cowardly Indian sidekick and scout who spoke
better English than the White men.
- Norman Alden as Captain Horton, the
commander at the Deep Well Ranger Station. He
would love to fire Rango, but he didn't want
to get on the bad side of Rango's father.

Theme Song Lyrics
(sung by Frankie Laine)
From out of the west came an unknown vest
The gun of Rango, Rango, Rango
He wore a star, wore a Texas star
This man called Rango, Rango, Rango
From San Anton to the Rio Grande
Down mountain peaks or desert sands
Every outlaw feared the hand of danger
This Texas Ranger
Rango, Rango, Rango.
TRIVIA NOTE: Jolene Brand played another
Indian character named Pink Cloud on the 1960
ABC western sitcom GUESTWARD HO!
Obituaries: Guy Marks: 11/28/1987.
