THE GABBY HAYES SHOW/NBC/1950-54/ABC/1956 - Set at the Double Bar M Ranch, the grizzly ol' Gabby Hayes hosted stories of the American West with film clips of classic cowboys like Tex Ritter, Tim Holt, and Gene Autry.  (30 Minutes)

THE GENE AUTRY SHOW/CBS/1950-56 - Western adventure starring singing cowboy Gene Autry who righted wrongs and sang a few songs as he traveled the Southwest with his comic sidekick, Pat Buttram. Gene's horse was Champion, the Wonder Horse. Their headquarters was the Melody Ranch. The series was produced by Flying "A" Productions. (30 Minutes) TRIVIA NOTE: In 1955, fifty-six of Autry's Republic feature films were syndicated into 60-minute programs by MCA Film Syndicate.           

GENE AUTRY'S MELODY RANCH/SYN/1966 - Western variety program featuring country and western entertainment. 

 THE GO-GO GOPHERS/NBC/1964-66 - A tribe of native American gopher Indians featured as part of a component series on the cartoons series UNDERDOG/NBC/1964-66. The main characters in the series were Ruffled Feather and Running Board, two buck-toothed gopher Indians living in Gopher Gulch in the 1860s. They were in constant conflict with Colonel Kit Coyote, the local cavalry fort commander who wanted to eradicate the gophers population from the western frontier. But, in the meantime, the gophers sabotaged fort, the railroad and telegraphs lines into the Colonel's headquarters. Toonarific's - Go Go Gopher's Webpage 

THE GRAY GHOST/SYN/1957-58 - Military adventure set during the Civil War about the true story of Major John Singleton Mosby (Tod Andrews), a Confederate officer whose lightning swift raids on the Union Army earned him the nickname "The Gray Ghost". The program was based on the book Gray Ghosts and Rebel Raiders by Virgil Carrington Jones. (30 Minutes) 

GUESTWARD HO!/ABC/1960-61 - Contemporary western comedy about the misadventures of Bill Hooten (Mark Miller), a New York ad executive tired of city life, who bought a Dude Ranch sight unseen and then proceeded to drag his family to New Mexico to find a dilapidated business in much need of repair. (30 Minutes) 

GUN SHY/CBS/1983 - Western comedy set in the 1869 town of Quake City, California about the life and struggles of Russell Donovan (Barry Van Dyke), a frontier gambler who won two children in a card game. Based on the Disney films The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975) and Apple Dumpling Gang Strikes Again (1979). (30 Minutes) 

GUNSLINGER/CBS/1961 - Set in the 1870s, at Fort Scott, New Mexico, this western drama told the story of Cord (Tony Young) a fast gun working as an undercover agent for Army Captain Zachary Wingate (Preston  Foster). (30 Minutes) 

GUNS OF PARADISE/CBS/1991  See  - "Paradise"

THE GUNS OF WILL SONNETT/ABC/1967-69 - Walter Brennan starred as Will Sonnett, a tough, ex-cavalry scout wandering the Wyoming Territory of the 1880s with his grandson Jeff Sonnett (Dack Rambo) in search of the boy's father, (now an outlaw) who had left his son at birth some 20 years earlier. Will Sonnett's abilities (including sharpshooting) were summed up simply "No brag, just fact." (30 Minutes) 

GUNSMOKE/CBS/1955-75 - The life of US Marshal Matt Dillon (James Arness) as he maintained law and order in the 1880s town of Dodge City, Kansas. His close friends included Galen "Doc" Adams (Milburn Stone) the town physician; Chester Goode (Dennis Weaver) his limping deputy; and Miss Kitty Russell (Amanda Blake), a saloon keeper and Matt's unofficial sweetheart. The GUNSMOKE program began on radio in 1952 with William Conrad as the voice of Matt Dillon. The TV version began in 1955 as a half-hour series and in the fall of 1961, it expanded from a half-hour to an hour. The show became the longest running western in television history. The series returned to television as made-for-TV movies including Gunsmoke: Return To Dodge (1987) that reunited Kitty and Matt after 12 years; Gunsmoke II: The Last Apache (1990) where Matt searched for a friend's daughter kidnapped by Indians; Gunsmoke III: To The Last Man (1992) which recounted the bloody Pleasant Valley War of the 1880s, Arizona; Gunsmoke: The Long Ride (1993) as Dillon is chased by posse convinced he is responsible for a crime; and Gunsmoke: One Man's Justice (1994) as Matt searches for a 15-year-old boy and robbers. TRIVIA NOTE: From 1961 to 1964 reruns of the half-hour shows (233 episodes) from the first few seasons were broadcast on Tuesdays on CBS under the syndicated title MATT DILLON while the hour long version of the show continued to air on Saturday nights as GUNSMOKE.
