THE IRON HORSE/ABC/1966-68 - Set in the 1880s, this transportation adventure told the tale of the Buffalo Pass, Scalplock, and Defiance Line, a near bankrupt, half-finished railroad carrier struggling for survival amidst an onslaught of Indians, outlaws and crooked businessmen. Regulars included Ben Calhoun (Dale Robertson), who won the railroad in a poker game; Dave Tarrant (Gary Collins), a construction engineer; Nils Torvald (Roger Torrey), a huge Scandinavian crewman; and Julie Parsons (Ellen McRae), the freight station operator. The American Indians called the locomotive the "Iron Horse."  (60 minutes)
