Sullivan's Philosophy - The success of Sunday night television's
longest running variety program THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW (TOAST OF THE
TOWN)/CBS/1948-71 was credited to host Ed Sullivan's belief in
these few words: "Open big, have a good comedy set, put in
something for children and keep the show clean."
