 Ferengi -Ruthless alien race first
seen on episode No. 7 "The Last Outpost" on the sci-fi series
STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION/SYN/1987-94. The Ferengi are
distinguished by their bulbous brow, large protruding ears
(their lobes were sites of sexual intimacy), badly overgrown
teeth and characteristically greedy nature. They never did
anything without a profit margin in mind.
The Ferengi's (cowards
at heart) had a predisposition to cower, slump and were not to
be trusted. Their weapon of choice is a hand held whip that
discharges a high-energy plasma. Their leader is called the
Grand Nagus, the master of commerce. When a Grand Nagus died,
his body parts were sold for a tidy sum as collector's items.
A
possible exception to the Ferengi's greedy nature was Quark, (Armin
Shimerman) the conniving manager of the DS9 gambling facility on
STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE/SYN/1993-00.. Despite his enthusiasm for capitalism, at
times Quark, his tender-hearted brother Rom (Max Grodenchick)
and his son, Nog (Aron Eisenberg) discarded profit to help
