Albert - Light brown teddy bear seen on the
British drama UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS/ITV/1970-75. Albert was the personal
property of 8-year-old Master William Bellamy who lived at 165 Eaton Place
in London. When he left for school, Master William left his bear behind.
TRIVIA NOTE: The children's stop-motion series UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS BEARS/ABF/2000
is a teddy bear adventures for pre-schoolers. The series follows the adventures of the two bear families
- the Bosworth and the Bumbles - who live in a big Edwardian house located at 49 Theodore Square.
The Bosworth family lives upstairs while the Bumbles family lives
downstairs. The
series is based upon the best-selling books by author and artist Carol
Lawson and inspired by the 1970s ITV drama UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS.
