Super ChickenSuper Chicken - Super fowl featured on a segment of the animated cartoon GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE/ABC/1967-70. According to the cartoon's theme song "When you find yourself in danger/when you're threatened by a stranger/when it looks like you will take a lickin'/there is someone waiting who will hurry up and rescue you/just cal-l-l-l-l for Super Chicken." Super Chicken (voice of Bill Scott) is the secret identity of the wealthy playboy Henry Cabot Henhouse III who together with his dim-witted assistant Fred the lion (voice of Paul Frees), battled such criminal meanies as Dr. Gizmo, Briggs Bad Wolf, the Noodle, the Oyster and the Zipper. When the Zipper broke out of jail a newscast reported "There is nothing more dangerous than a loose Zipper!" Super Chicken gained his power from a super sauce that turned him into a masked cape crusader (who sported a plumed hat, purple cape, black mask and a rapier sword). He traveled about Pittsburgh (his home base) in a large egg shaped craft called the Supercoop. The show was created by Jay Ward Studios who also brought us the zany adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Dave's Un-Official Super Checken Fan Site
