The Golden HindGolden Hind  - 16th century sailing vessel on the maritime adventure THE ADVENTURES OF SIR FRANCIS DRAKE/NBC/1962. The Golden Hind was the flagship of English navigator and explorer Francis Drake (Terence Morgan) who was the first Englishman to circumnavigate the globe (1577-80).

Sailing across the Pacific on orders from Queen Elizabeth I (Jean Kent), Drake garnered cargoes of vast treasures for England. The Golden Hind used on the program was an exact replica of Sir Francis Drake's original vessel (once called "The Pelican").
