Slopes -
Novel written by Doug Kirkfield (Christopher Meloni) a
horror book novelist who moves from New York to a small town
outside Seattle, Washington with his girlfriend, Molly Rich
(Isabella Hofman) on the sitcom THE
BOYS/CBS/1993.
Doug's novel "Slopes" tells the tale of a big beast
terrorizing a ski resort. It has been on the New York Times best seller list for 11 weeks and made
into a major TV movie.
While Doug tries to overcome writer's block and
search for the inspiration for his second novel, he
befriends three eccentric old men who meet for a weekly card
game next store.
The "Boys" include Herbert Francis "Bert" Greenblatt (Ned Beatty), a boisterous retried fireman, Harlan
Cooper (John Harlan), the owner of a local antique store and Al
Kozarian (Richard Venture), a widowed tar factory worker. Herb's
wife, Doris Greenblatt (Doris Roberts) appears from time to
time.
