Slopes - Novel written by Doug Kirkfield (Christopher Meloni) a horror book novelist who moves from New York to a small town outside Seattle, Washington with his girlfriend, Molly Rich (Isabella Hofman) on the sitcom THE BOYS/CBS/1993.

Doug's novel "Slopes" tells the tale of a big beast terrorizing a ski resort. It has been on the New York Times best seller list for 11 weeks and made into a major TV movie.

While Doug tries to overcome writer's block and search for the inspiration for his second novel, he befriends three eccentric old men who meet for a weekly card game next store.

The "Boys" include Herbert Francis "Bert" Greenblatt (Ned Beatty), a boisterous retried fireman, Harlan Cooper (John Harlan), the owner of a local antique store and Al Kozarian (Richard Venture), a widowed tar factory worker. Herb's wife, Doris Greenblatt (Doris Roberts) appears from time to time.
