Letitia DeVore Romance
Novelist - Earlier in his career, to make ends meet,
columnist Dave Barry (Harry Anderson) on the sitcom DAVE'S
WORLD/CBS/1993-97 braved the world of romance novels and created
a bestselling author under the pen name Lititia DeVore whom allegedly
lived in an English castle with three cats.
Although
well received by the critics and public alike, Dave only
produced one novel. It contained such ripe lines as:

"Throw me in the haystack and treat me like a
nasty gypsy woman."
-
"Her
seductive pouty lips parted over her hot white teeth."
-
"His lips searched, delved and tasted what they
sought."
-
"As their passion grew to a crescendo, all the
animals in the barn became frightened."
Dave also wrote the
books "Helluva Time" and a "Barry Picking" [a collection of
previously written articles]
