Illegal Television Broadcast -
The Sylvania Electric Products, Inc. (Tube Division at Emporium, PA) was
cited by the Federal Communications Commission for illegally operating a
television station (equipped with a 90 foot tower) located atop Whittemore
Mountain. The stations programming was telecast via WJAC-TV in Johnstown,
PA. The station was closed October 19, 1950. See also -
