Snagglepuss - Silly Shakespearian lion featured as a component of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon YOGI BEAR/SYN/1961-62. Snagglepuss who lives in a cave on Cave Street, stands upright and wears cuffs, collar and a string tie. His silly lisping voice (provided by Daws Butler) was similar to that of Bert Lahr's portrayal of the Cowardly Lion in the film Wizard of Oz (1939). Snagglepuss' catchphrase is "Heaven's to Murgatroyd." When he makes a hastily retreat he declares "Exit-(fill in some remark)-Stage left (or right). Snagglepuss previously appeared as a supporting player on both THE HUCKLEBERRY HOUND SHOW/SYN/1958-62 and QUICK DRAW MCGRAW /SYN/1959-62.
