Jonathan and Jennifer first
met by chance at the Hotel Ritz in London while Jennifer tried to get an
interview with Jonathan.
They went kite flying on their first date and
then Jonathan proposed by unveiling a banner ("Would you marry me?") from
the Tower Bridge in London. They
soon married and honeymooned in the Napa Valley.
Jonathan's gave Jennifer a gold bracelet on
their first Christmas together.
Before Jennifer, Jonathan dated the beautiful Nikki Stefunos.
In 1994 Jennifer inherited
the coastal town of Kingman's Ferry. Jennifer had done her early training
as a writer at their local newspaper. When she visited her old workplace
she rediscovered the etched letters J.E. and C.B. [a former boyfriend]
still carved into the desktop. Later in the week, Jonathan offered
Jennifer an entire wooden-covered bridge as a sign of his love. Legend had
it that if two lovers kissed on the bridge at sunrise then they would be
destined to be together forever. The bridge was falling apart until
Jonathan hired a local carpenter to rebuild it for his Jennifer. This type
of romantic gesture helped keep the Hart's love life vibrant and alive.
When not attending fancy
parties and traveling around the globe to exotic romantic vacation spots,
Jonathan and Jennifer enjoy being amateur sleuths. [“Their hobby is
murder”].
The
Hart’s share their home with Max, Jonathan’s gravelly-voiced,
cigar-smoking old friend who acts as the family’s live-in housekeeper and
chauffeur; and Freeway, their scruffy little dog [an unclipped Löwchen
breed they found lost on the freeway]. "Get off the couch!" was a common
remark yelled by Max who cared for Freeway most of the time. The Hart’s
drive around town in a number of expensive cars including a rare 1956
Bentley Convertible; a yellow 1979 Mercedes Benz 450 SL with a chocolate
interior; a yellow 1983 Mercedes Benz 380 SL Convertible with black
interior; a silver Aston Martin Volante Convertible with black top and
interior; and the family’s 1979 Mercedes Benz 300 TD Wagon which Max
drove.

Jonathan with his faithful
friend, Max
Years before Jonathan was a
wealthy man, he was a orphan and in trouble with the law. Max rescued
Jonathan from a troubled life after high school and arranged to send
Jonathan to college. He even gave him a black 1950 Ford convertible to
drive to his new school. When Jonathan proved his abilities as a shrewd
businessman, Max moved in with Jonathan as his housekeeper. But never
forget that Max is more that just a chauffeur and housekeeper - he is an
integral part of the family. When Jonathan married Jennifer, Max was the
best man. He calls Jennifer "Mrs. H."
Today, Jonathan Hart is the
President of Hart Industries. He retains majority interest in the common
stock and occupies a seat as the Chairman of the Board [his wife also sits
on the board] and Chief executive Officer. Founded in 1965 with just $1500
seed money, Jonathan built his investment into a multi-billion dollar
conglomerate consisting of twenty companies with divisions in Electronics,
Aerospace, Computer Program and Research Division, as well as Hartoy
Chemo-Cal, Hart Shipping Lines and Hartscan Mineral Development. The
company went public with its first stock offerings in March 1969. Hart
industries is located at 112 North Las Palmas in Los Angeles, CA
( 555-1271).
"This is my boss, Jonathan Hart, a
self-made millionaire, he's quite a guy. This is Mrs H., she's gorgeous,
What a terrific lady. By the way my name is Max. I take care of them,
which ain't easy 'cause their hobby is MURDER!" --
