"Bruce Wayne" (Adam West). "I don't know who he is behind that mask of his" remarks Gordon "but I know we need him and we need him now!" Meanwhile at stately Wayne Manor, the beeping Bat-phone (blinking red) is answered by Alfred Pennyworth (Alan Napier), the Wayne's loyal Butler who relates the commissioner's plight to his millionaire playboy/crime fighter employer. With message received Bruce Wayne and his youthful ward Dick Grayson, a.k.a. "Robin" (Burt Ward) don their superhero costumes and speed from the Bat Cave in the Batmobile to battle crime.
