Emperor - Shar-pei dog with loose brown ripples of fur seen on the police drama HILL STREET BLUES/NBC/1981-87. Emperor belonged to Lt. Howard Hunter (James  Sikking), the hawkish leader of a precinct SWAT division.  TRIVIA NOTE: On the 1982 episode "A Hair of the Dog," Lt. Howard Hunter bounced a ball out of an open window and a Lhasa Apso dog named Lamonte proceeded to chase the ball to his doom. The dog belonged to the governor's wife. Oops!
