Ross Geller's Hand Gesture - On the  situation comedy FRIENDS/NBC/1994-2004 Ross Geller (David Schwimmer)  will occasionally bang his fists together (palm edge to palm edge) when he gets upset with someone. On episode No. 405 "The One with Joey's New Girlfriend" his sister Monica Geller (Courteney Cox) explains the story behind Ross's hand gestures: "It's this dumb thing that Ross made up because he was trying to fool our parents. It's a way of giving the finger, without actually having to give it. I remember I cried the night he made it up, `cause it was the first time that I realized that I was actually cooler than my older brother."
