W.I.T.C.H. - The initials of a group of teenagers chosen to protect the world from evil on the Disney's ABC Kids animated fantasy W.I.T.C.H./ABC/2005.

The W.I.T.C.H. acronym stands for the first names of each girl: Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay. Will Vandom (Capricorn) was a newcomer to the seaside town of Heatherfield when she made friends with Irma Lair (Pisces), Taranee Cook (Aries), Cornelia Hale (Taurus) and Hay Lin (Gemini). The girls soon discover they have been chosen to be Guardians of the Veil - the border between good and evil - and to maintain the natural order of the universe and close 12 portals that allow invading Metamoorans through to earth.

Irma holds the power of water; Taranee, the power of fire; Cornelia the power of earth, and Hay, the power of air.

Will is the keeper of the Heart of Candracar, an ancient pink crystal pendant given to her by her grandmother, a former guardian of good. By holding the pendant in her hand, Will is imbued with the power over absolute energy which along with her friends powers are designed to protect "The Veil" from the likes of the evil Prince Phobos and Cedric, his Head of the Royal Guards in the world of Metamoor (Kingdom of Meridian), a parallel universe filled with assorted monstrous creatures.

Also battling Phobos is Caleb, a young rebel leader fighting to put the legitimate heiress of Meridian on the throne. (Psst! The girls think he is, like, really, really cute).
