Dawson Leery's Necklace -  The black chain with dark polished stone necklace that Capeside, Massachusetts teenager Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek) wore on the teen drama DAWSON'S CREEK/WB/1998-2003. On episode No. 302 "Homecoming (aired 10/09/1999) Dawson and Josephine "Joey" Potter (Katie Holmes) who were life-long friend and assumed soul mate are going separate ways. As a gesture of a affection for everything he and Joey have shared together, Dawson takes off the necklace that he always wears and puts it around her neck. Joey says, "Think every Dawson has a Joey, and every Joey has a Dawson?" Dawson replies, "For their sake I hope so." Rumor had it that the necklace used on the series was actually made by the Van Der Beek's actor's mother and that the wardrobe department coordinated Van Der Beek's outfits to compliment the necklace. But Van Der Beek reported  "The necklace on the show is one I bought in Prague when I was backpacking. When I made the pilot they said they loved the necklace, so it's been in my trailer every morning since then. The necklace I wear in the show is not the one I wear in real life." JOEY: Ever since I got back from Florida. It's sort of been…my good luck charm. I don't know why, it just makes me feel…safe. Almost as if it protects me…gives me strength. I hid it because I thought Pacey would take it personally. [She smiles.]

JOEY: I guess the point is moot now, anyway.

DAWSON: It looks good on you.

JOEY: Your just saying that because you're the one who gave it to me. [They laugh]
