CBS Bookmobile, The - Occasionally on the late night talk show LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN/CBS/1993+ host David Letterman would announce: "You know, that familiar theme music signals that it's time for another edition of the CBS Bookmobile's New Books...the Library Lady's here to deliver the latest batch of new books. See for yourself what everyone else is reading these days." The CBS Bookmobile was in reality a small platform decorated with a desk, book shelf and a female librarian that was hauled on stage by a forklift. Visiting with the CBS librarian, Dave browsed through such best-selling titles as Oh Right, the Bruno Magli Shoes by Marcia Clark and Chris Darden; Men Are from Mars, Women Are From Venus, Where The Hell Am I From! by Michael Jackson; I Ate the Other Tenors by Pavarotti; and Martha Stewart's Drive-In Movie Guide to Back Seat Oral Sex.
