Dick Van Dyke"Bupkiss" - Song featured on episode No.118 "Bupkiss" on the sitcom THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW/CBS/1961-66. "Bupkiss" was the name of a song that comedy writer Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke) had written with an old Army Buddy. When it became a hit, Rob confronted his ex-friend to fight over authorship rights. The song "Bupkiss" was penned by writers Bill Perksy and Sam Denoff and recorded for the show by pop singers Dick and Dee Dee. Bupkiss is a Yiddish term for "nothing." also spelled "bubkes."

TRIVIA NOTE: On Episode #29 “Author Author” on the sitcom THAT GIRL/ABC/1966-71 Donald Hollinger (Ted Bessell) wrote piano jingles for his girl friend Ann Marie (Marlo Thomas) entitled “In Love With Atilla The Hun” and “The Guns of Navarone” These songs originally appeared on episode #118 “Bupkiss.” Both programs were written by Bill Persky and Sam Denoff.
