"Bupkiss" was the name of a song that comedy
writer Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke) had written
with an old Army Buddy. When it became a hit,

Perksy and Sam Denoff and recorded for the show
by pop singers Dick and Dee Dee. Bupkiss is a
Yiddish term for "nothing." also spelled "bubkes."
