10th Precinct - The police drama
MADIGAN/NBC/1972-73 starred veteran movie actor Richard Widmark as Sergeant Dan
Madigan, a tough but honorable New York cop who worked out of Manhattan's 10th precinct. Tom Adams also appeared as Detective Jaqueta.
The series was based on the TV movie Madigan (1968). At the end of the
film, Detective Dan Madigan died, but his character was resurrected for the
ninety-minute drama that appeared as a rotating segment of THE NBC WEDNESDAY
MYSTERY MOVIE. The series was produced by Dean Hargrove and Roland Kibbee for
Universal Studios. Harry Guardino played Det. Rocco Bonaro, Madigan's
partner and Inger Steven played Dan's unhappy wife, Julia.
