Alice (Dana & Paige Bardoth/Michele Sepe).

Christine Cagney (Badge # 763) lives in an apartment, She is single
and has a problem with alcohol as does her
father, Charlie Lacey (Dick O'Neill), a retired policeman
who enjoyed telling her stories about how it was
when he was on the force. Chris' other family were brother, Brian
Cagney (David Ackroyd) and Brigit Cagney,
Brian's daughter (Amanda Wyss).

TRIVIA NOTE:
The series began as a 1981 made-for-television
movie starring
Loretta Swit as Det. Christine
"Chris" Cagney and Tyne Daly as Det. Mary Beth
Lacey. For the first 6 episodes of the TV
series,
Meg Foster played the role of Det. Chris
Cagney. She was replaced due to criticism that
she was too aggressive and possibly lesbian.
Sharon Gless took over the role of Christine and
the series ran 125 episodes.
After the series ended, the storyline continued
in a series of TV movies, including Cagney &
Lacey: The Return (1994), Cagney & Lacey:
Together Again (1995), Cagney & Lacey:
The View Through the Glass Ceiling (1995)
and Cagney & Lacey: True Convictions
(1996).
In real life Manhattan's 14th Precinct (Midtown
South) is located at 357 West 35th Street.
