Valley of the Dinosaurs -
Prehistoric landscape filled with dinosaurs featured on the
Saturday morning Hanna-Barbera cartoon VALLEY OF THE
DINOSAURS/CBS/1974-76.
The cartoon adventure told the tale of the Butler family (John,
Kim, their son Greg, daughter Katie, and dog Digger) who set out
to explore the Amazon River but were transported via a mysterious
whirlpool to a savage world of dinosaurs and primitive beings.
As the Butler's struggle to find a way home, they befriend a
family of cave people and a cute baby stegosaurus named Glump.
Opening Narration:
"Deep in the heart of the Amazon, the Butler family was exploring
an uncharted river canyon. Suddenly, caught up in a violent
whirlpool, they were propelled through an underground cavern and
flung into a hostile world of giant prehistoric creatures--a world
that time forgot."
