Crichton - A highly
intelligent but often rude silver robot on the
sci-fi series BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH
CENTURY/NBC/1979-81.
 Created by Dr. Goodfellow (Wilfred Hyde-White), an elderly
scientist onboard the starship "Searcher," the
robot Crichton (voice of Jeff Davis) could not
compute that its perfect circuitry was designed
by an imperfect human. With his slender metallic
arms akimbo, he often stated "I am a superior
being!"
Designed by John Mantley, Crichton was one of the first
fully functional robots built for a TV series.
It was operated by radio remote control with the
abilities to glide on wheels, tilt its head and
