Set  in the 1893 city of San Francisco, the western drama THE ADVENTURES OF BRISCO COUNTY, JR./FOX/1993-94 followed the exploits of Harvard-educated attorney Brisco County, Jr (Bruce Campbell) who turns bounty hunter after his father, Brisco County, Sr. - a legendary frontier marshal - was shot and killed by the villainous outlaw John Bly (Billy Drago).  

Hired by a group of robber barons to catch Bly and his gang, Brisco begins a quest to avenge his father's death and along the way discovers a mysterious golden orb that came from the future. Brisco rides a horse named Comet.

• Kelly Rutherford as Dixie Cousins, a  Mae West-type dance hall singer who is Brisco's love interest.
• Julius Carry as Lord Bowler (James Lonefeather), a one-time rival bounter hunter who teams with Brisco.
• Christian Clemenson as Socrates Poole,  the lawyer for the robber barons who hired Brisco to find Bly.
• John Astin as Prof. Albert Wickwire
