Contemporary western adventure about the
Guthrie brothers, Mitch (Earl Holliman) and Andy
(Andrew Prine) who traveled the rodeo circuit in
competition for the Gold Buckle rodeo trophy. To
get to each competition Mitch and Andy drove in
a white 1962 Ford Country Sedan station wagon.
Along the way, Mitch and Andy encountered a
variety of strangers and some people from their
past, like a weary, old rodeo rider (Victor Jory)
who once cared for Mitch and Andy when they were
kids. They repaid his kindness by helping him
rope and break a wild stallion. In end, the
old man let the horse run free and Mitch and
Andy were off to another rodeo competition.
While Mitch was a champion rodeo rider, he
didn't want his brother to follow in his foot
steps and so he pushed him to enroll in college.
