The Aardvark - Hungry purple aardvark with a
long crinkled snout featured on the cartoon The
Ant & The Aardvark produced by Mirisch-DePatie-Freleng Production
and released by United Artists and later seen on segments of the animated TV cartoon
series THE NEW PINK PANTHER SHOW/NBC/1969-71. The "Aardvark" (voice
of John Byner) constantly chased a tiny elusive red ant with hopes
of eating the ant for supper. See
