O’REILLY, Walter Eugene "Radar"

Walter is a Corporal in the US Army [Serial No. US56349216]. He is stationed at the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital as company clerk during the Korean War. Walter was born and raised on a farm in Ottumwa, Iowa. His favorite drink is Grape Nehi. His commanding officer Colonel Sherman Potter later arranged for Radar to go home to help his mother Edna run the farm after his uncle Ed died. Walter earned the nickname "Radar" for his uncanny ability to seemingly read other‘s minds or forecast events moments before they happened.

Harry is an ex-cop turned private eye. He is divorced, a loner and doesn’t like telephones. Harry had to retire from the SDPD force when he got shot in the back during a drugstore burglary on the night of January 18, 1969. The event killed his partner and lodged a bullet in his spine. The bullet still causes pain and limits his physical activities. Living in a small beachfront home, Harry supplements his disability pension by taking on private investigation cases. In 1975, Harry moved his base of operations to Los Angeles and finally Santa Monica.

Daniel, a.k.a. "Oz" is a student at Sunnydale High School. Oz is a quiet, reserved musician with a good sense of humor and a high IQ [though he doesn't apply himself in school]. In his spare time he plays lead guitar in the rock band "Dingoes Ate My Baby," which performs at a local hangout called the Bronze. He is also a member of "The Scooby Gang" which consists of vampire slayer Buffy Anne Summer and her helpers Willow, Xander, and Cordelia.

The Others is a society of "gifted misfits." Each member possesses paranormal abilities. The Others are motivated by their quest for knowledge and the desire to help people. This Others deal with cases involving apparitions, astral projection, clairvoyance, demons, spirits, mediums, out of boy experience, parapsychology, precognition, psycho kinesis, psychometry, telepathy, and thought transference. Its members are Elmer Greentree, an 84-year-old medium and the group's spiritual leader; Dr. Miles Ballard, a professor of Mythology and Folklore; Satori, a "sensitive" and professional psychic; Marc Gabriel, a medical intern and with empathic powers; Warren Day, a seer; Albert McGonnagal, a blind psychic whose heightened sixth sense sees psychic visions that resemble X-rays images; and Marian Kitt, a 22-year-old girl who sees into the past and the afterlife.

O’TOOLE, Ensign

Ensign O’Toole is stationed aboard the peacetime naval destroyer USS Appleby. He is an easygoing charmer who knows all the tricks to avoiding work. O’Toole’s crew members included Chief Petty Officer Homer Nelson; Supply Officer Lt. Rex St. John; Executive Officer Lt. Cmd. Virgil Stoner; Seaman Howard Spicer; Seaman Claude White; and Seaman Gabby Di Julio. Note: The Ensign O’Toole character is based on the two novels of Bill Lederer.
