Freddie
Peterson - An aphorism for "sex" on the sitcom GOLDEN
GIRLS/NBC/1985-92. When substitute teacher Dorothy Zbornak (Bea
Arthur) had sex with Blanche Devereaux's visiting uncle Lucas (Leslie
Nielsen), she remarked "It was so great, we named it Freddie
Peterson." Dorothy married Lucas on the final episode of the series.
Another veiled reference to "sex" occurred on the episode "The
Society Party" 11-27-76) on the sitcom LAVERNE & SHIRLEY/ABC/1976-83
when Laverne De Fazio (Penny Marshall) implied that her roommate
Shirley Feeney (Cindy Williams) "Vo-dee-oh-do-dohed." After Shirley
insisted she did not "Vo-dee-oh-do-doh" Laverne partially conceded
and said "Yeah, but you Vo-de-Ohed!"
