Hillbilly Bears - A rustic family of bears who lived in the backwoods on the cartoon segments originally aired as part of THE ATOM ANT/SECRET SQUIRREL SHOW. The Hillbilly Bears consisted of Paw Rugg (Henry Corden); Maw Rugg (Jean VanderPyl); Floral Rugg (Jean VanderPyl); and mumbling Shag Rugg (Don Messick).  The Hillbilly episodes ran from October 2,1965 - January,1967 on the NBC network. Reruns of the Hillbilly Bears later  appeared as part of THE BANANA SPLITS ADVENTURE HOUR along with five other rotating cartoon segments including The Arabian Knights, The Three Musketeers, Hillbilly Bears, The Micro Ventures, and The Adventures Of Gulliver.
