Nestlés
Quik - The first powered chocolate milk mix. Developed in 1948, Nestle
hired puppeteer Jimmy Nelson to promote their product on television in the 1950s
with the help of his puppet characters Danny O'Day and
Farfel the dog. They were famous for their signoff "N-E-S-T-L-E-S...Nestlés makes
the very best...CHAW-W-W-W-CLIT!"
By 1973, Nestlés Quik had been renamed Nestlé Nesqui k and given a rabbit mascot
called the Nesquik Bunny who pushed their nutritious chocolate drink to kids.
The hyperactive Bunny who slurped an entire glass of Nesquik in one gulp
used the catchphrase “You can’t drink it slow if it’s Quik.”
Nesquik comes in the traditional chocolate flavor, as well as a sugar free
chocolate flavor and strawberry. All of which are now fortified with calcium,
vitamin C, and other essential vitamins and minerals to help build strong bones.
