The Chicago-based program told the misadventures of a mischievous Pelican named Paddy who lived in Pelicanland. The stories unfolded through comic strip drawings drawn by Paddy's creator, Sam Singer. Paddy's voice was supplied by Helen York. Mary Frances Desmond played Pam, Paddy's assistant.
