The Skatebirds - Large birds who hosted the 60-minute Hanna-Barbera cartoon show THE SKATEBIRDS/CBS/1977-78. The Skatebirds (human actors beneath costumes) rode about the show on skateboards. They included Satchel the Pelican, Knock-Knock the Woodpecker,  and Scooter the Penquin who were always being chased by the Scat-Cat. The program featured the cartoons THE ROBONIC STOOGES, WONDER WHEELS and WOOFER & WIMPER and one live-action sci-fi segment called MYSTERY ISLAND.
