Queen Mary, RMS - 81,000-ton luxury liner with 365 staterooms now permanently berthed (since 1967) at 1026 Queens Highway Pier "J" south of the Long Beach Freeway  in Southern California. First launched to sea in 1936, this famous ship has been host to celebrities, politicians and royalty as well as the setting for such motion pictures as Poseidon Adventure (1972), Death Cruise (1974), and exterior shots for TV series like QUINCY, M. E., and MURDER, SHE WROTE.
