The Amazing Tales of Tiny
Tots - Children's book written by school teacher
Helen Crump (Aneta Corsaut) on an episode of the sitcom THE ANDY
GRIFFITH SHOW/CBS/1960-68.

Helen submitted the book to a publishing house
up in Richmond and soon received an advance check for $1000.
The book was called a "Good sensitive book
about kids." However, Roger Bryant, the publisher didn't like
Helen's real name and suggested the pen name Helene Alexian
Dubois. After many nights of rewrites, Helen delivered the final
manuscript to the publisher.
When Helen humbly told her boyfriend Andy Taylor
(Andy Griffith) that she wasn't anyone famous, Andy proclaimed
"So was Mark Twain until he got something published." He further
added that Helen's success just might make the town of Mayberry,
"The literary center of the South."
