Robin Masters Novels - Robin Masters is a reclusive mystery novelist who lives at an estate called Robin's Nest on the island of Oahu. His day-to-day affairs are looked after by British manservant Jonathan Quayle Higgins III (John Hillerman). Also living on the estate is Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck), an ex-naval intelligence officer who lives in the guest house and provides security for the estate. Over the years Robin has penned a number of mystery novels. They included (in order of appearance) Babes In Babylon (made into a film) and mentioned as Robin's first work in episodes "Squeeze Play", and "The Case of the Red Faced Thespian"); Fruit of Passion in episode "Thank Heaven For Little Girls..."; The Golden Spike in episode "J. 'Digger' Doyle"; Tahiti Kill (made into a film) in episode "Double Jeopardy"; The Seamy Side of Dawn in episode "Birdman of Budapest"; Golden Tradewinds in episode "Two Birds of A Feather"; Blood of the August Kitten in episode "The Big Blow"; Die and Die Again in episode "The Man From Marseilles"; The Treasure of Kalaniopu'u in episode "The Treasure of Kalaniopu'u"; Serpent's Whisper in episode "Novel Connection"; Echoes of Ecstasy in episode "Novel Connection"; Dance of Death in episode "Transitions." In "Transition's" (aired 2/17/1988) Robin's latest manuscript is stolen and Higgins asks Magnum to recover the manuscript.
