Carol Burnett's Guest Book - THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW/CBS/1967-78 began each week as comedian Carol Burnett answered audience questions before the start the show. After a fun-filled hour of songs, goofy satire and comic skits courtesy of a talented ensemble — Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner (frequent guest Tim Conway officially joined the cast in 1975), Carol then pulled out the show's special guest book and asked her weekly guest star to come on stage and autograph the guest book as the closing credits rolled. Jim Nabors was among the first and last to sign it during the show's successful 11-year run on the CBS network..  Additionally, each week Carol closed her variety show by tugging on her left ear. This tug was a silent personal message to her grandmother (Nanny) that everything was all right.
