Jordan's Letter
- Jordan is a student at Liberty High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on the
teenage drama MY SO-CALLED LIFE/ABC/1994-95.
Described as a loner, Jordan is an Italian-American who smokes, procures fake
IDs for those in need and has a tendency to blink excessively.
Jordan was Angela Chases' boyfriend until the day he fell from her grace when
he slept with her friend, Rayanne Graff. To salvage his relationship, Jordan
enlisted the aid of genius nerd Brian Krakow to write an apology note known as
“The Letter” to win Angela back.
The text of the letter follows:
Dear Angela,
I know in the past I've caused you pain and I'm sorry. And I'll always be
sorry 'till the day I die. And I hate this pen I'm holding because I should be
holding you. I hate this paper under my hand because it isn't you. I even hate
this letter because it's not the whole truth. Because the whole truth is so much
more than a letter can even say. If you want to hate me, go ahead. If you want
to burn this letter, do it. You could burn the whole world down; you could tell
me to go to hell. I'd go, if you wanted me to. And I'd send you a letter from
there.
Sincerely,
Jordan Catalano
Earlier, Angela had also written a letter and given it to Jordan. After
Jordan hands the letter back to Angela, she confesses "When I wrote this... I
wrote this about someone else, I had ... this guy, I had a boyfriend last summer
and I wrote everything I...I wanted to remember... and I used your name because
I wanted... I didn't want other people to know it was about him because... he
died...he's dead."

Rayanne: |
You wanna
have sex with him. |
|
Angela: |
Who?
|
|
Rayanne: |
Who.
Jordan. Catalano. Come on, I'm not gonna tell anyone, just admit
it. |
|
Angela: |
I just
like how he's always leaning. Against stuff. He leans great. Well,
either sex or a conversation. Ideally both. |
