From Outer Space - Alien abduction book featured on
the fantasy drama THE X-FILES/FOX/1993-2002. On episode No. 68
"Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'" writer Jose Chung (Charles
Nelson Reilly) interviews FBI agent Dana Scully (Gillian
Anderson) about the alleged alien abduction of two teenagers.
His book to be titled "From Outer Space" hopes to create new a
genre called "nonfiction sci-fi." He asks Scully to report only
the truth but adds "Truth is as subjective as reality."
When
Chung's book is published Scully discovers that the book's two
FBI agents Diana Lesky and Reynard Muldrake described as "a
ticking time bomb of insanity" were thinly veiled pseudonyms for
herself and her partner Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) [Reynard
being French for "fox"].
