Jelly Beans - On the education sitcom OUR MISS BROOKS/CBS/1952-56, shy Madison High School biology teacher and track team coach Philip Boynton (Robert Rockwell) always carried jelly beans as a snack food. According to him "The dextrose contained in them is one of the best sources of quick energy known to science."
