The Cattanooga CatsCattanooga Cats - Feline hillbilly rock and roll band featured on the Saturday Hanna Barbera cartoon THE CATTANOOGA CATS/ABC/1969-71. The band members consisted of Kitty Jo (Julie Bennett), the lead singer and dancer;  Groove, the drummer (Casey Kasem); Country, the guitarist (Bill Callaway); and Scoots, the bass fiddle player (Jim Begg). The other member of the group was a large grey shaggy dog named Teenie Tim. To get to their gigs, the Cattanooga Cats drove in a large yellow touring bus. The group performed musical fillers that  connected other segments of the show. The series theme song was written by television composer Hoyt Curtin (1922-2000) who also composed the lyrics for "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons."
