 Spacecats -
The 13-episode Saturday morning cartoon SPACECATS/NBC/1991-92
(created by Paul Fusco of ALF fame) starred a trio of
extraterrestrial feline crimefighters named Captain Catgut Scratch,
Sniff and Tom. The series was a mixture of live-action puppetry with
animation. Charles Nelson Reilly played the show's only human
character, a disembodied human head called DORC (derived from
"Disembodied Omnipotent Ruler of Cats").Based on the all-cat planet
Triglyceride 7, the puppet Spacesats were sent to Earth, to protect
the human race. Their adventures were told through animated
cartoons.
