GC-161 - Top-secret chemical formula
produced by the Paradise Valley Chemical Plant on the sci-fi
series THE SECRET WORLD OF ALEX MACK/NIK/1994-98. While walking home from school
one day, a young girl named Alexandra "Alex" Mack (Larisa Oleynik) was nearly run
over by an out of control truck which hit a fire hydrant and spilled a container of chemicals
(GC-161) onto the street. Mixing with the gushing tower of hydrant water, Alex's
was doused in a mysterious shower of chemicals. She soon discovered that the
accidental chemical exposure had given her
special powers. They included the ability to morph into a golden blob, to levitate objects, and to glow and
spark electrical currents.
On the final episodes #78 & #79 "Paradise Regained", Alex's father George
Mack develops a cure for her condition and presents her with the potion. Did she
or didn't she drink it? That is the question.

Alex starts the barbeque with a zap of electricity
"I'm Alex Mack. I was just an average kid until an accident changed my life
and since then nothing's been the same. My best friend Ray thinks it cool. My
sister Annie thinks I'm a science project. I can't let anyone know - not even
my parents. I know the chemical plant has to find me and turn me into some
experiment. But you know something, I guess I not so average anymore." --
