Pip the Piper, Miss Merrynote & Mister LeaderPip the Piper - A magical flutist featured on PIP THE PIPER/ABC/NBC/1960-62, a 30-minute live-action fantasy program. Pip the Piper (Jack Spear) was a flying first cousin of Peter Pan and half-brother to the Pied Piper. He lived in Pipertown, a city in the clouds, where food and musical instruments grew on trees. Other residents of this magical kingdom were Miss Merrynote (Phyllis Spear) and Mister Leader (Lucien Kaminsky) who wore a bandleader's costume. Originally from Newark New Jersey Jack Spear and his wife Phyllis later moved to Los Angeles, California and created, wrote and performed on the successful TV series THE JACK AND PHYLLIS broadcast on KCOP channel 13 in 1966.
