Wishing Wells Clothing Line - Dawn Wells who played Mary Ann, the naive farm
girl on the sitcom GILLIGAN'S ISLAND/CBS/1964-67 created a colorful
line of clothing called the "Wishing Wells Collections"
designed for the elderly and disabled.
The clothing made of bright colors and pretty fabrics used Velcro
fasteners instead of zippers and buttons. As Dawn Wells said in an
interview in People Weekly magazine "Just because you're sick
doesn't mean you can't look nice."
Dawn patterned her designs after the breakaway clothes she wore
for quick costume changes backstage.
