SELMA the HologramSELMA - Credit-card sized holographic supercomputer used on the science fiction series TIME TRAX/SYN/1993-95. SELMA (Specified Encapsulated Limitless Memory Archive) is a full functioning computer disguised as an AT&T MasterCard. It is owned by 22nd century police officer Captain Darien Lambert (Dale Midkiff) who traveled from the year 2193 to 1993 to round up fugitives who escaped in a time machine called TRAX. Lambert accesses SELMA both by voice and visual modes. In visible mode, SELMA (Elizabeth Alexander) is a hologram that Lambert can see through, walk around and talk to. SELMA speaks with a British accent; and looks like Mary Poppins (resembling a picture of Darien's mother he drew as a boy). She thinks logically like Mr. Spock but is as fussy as C-3PO. And although SELMA is prone to make mistakes in judgment; she is reluctant to admit she could actually make them.
