Fly Girls, The - A gorgeous collection of multi-ethnic dancers who performed at the beginning and during breaks between comedy skits on the irreverent, satirical comedy program IN LIVING COLOR/FOX/1990-94 starring Keenen Ivory Wayans. The Fly Girls jumped to the rhythmic pop, rap and hip-hop music that was prevalent on this black comedy program. The dancers included Carrie Ann Inaba, Cari French, Josie Harris, Carla Garrido, Laurie-Ann Gibson, Diedra Lang, Jennifer Lopez, Lisa Thompson  Lisa Marie Todd, Michelle Whitney-Morrison and Masako Willis. Carla Earle, Rosie Perez, Arthur Rainer choreographed these beautiful, semi-clad dancers (who often dressed in fish net stocking and hot pants). Rosie Perez defined the Fly Girls as "Someone who's got what's going on, someone who's hip." See also - "The June Taylor Dancers"
